Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda Law college Sullia, D.K. sponsored by the academy of liberal education (R) Sullia was started in 1990 under the dynamic leadership of its founder president Dr Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda and is now led by President Dr K. V. Chidananda with an aim to meet the growing needs of the students seeking legal education in southeastern areas of Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu and other adjoining districts of Karnataka and Kannada speaking areas of Kasargod district of Kerala state. This institution aims to make legal education available near home. So that even less fortunate sections of the people in the region might benefit from this professional course of study.
